Wow... haven't updated this in forever... Well, decided to start
working on my first weedeater powered boat. The hull is an old
wooden .60 size nitro about 38" long that I picked up for $30. I've
stripped it down and have begun the process of stuffing a 25cc
Homelite engine into it ($15 from a repair shop). So, the end
goal is to throw this thing together for as cheap as possible.
I'm putting pics up here as I work on it:

You may also notice my buddy Brad, of
B-Box fame, getting a little happy with some beer cans we brazed
together...

w00t! Finally got a digital camera. It's a Canon A20 and i love it.
Anyways, I decided to get my homemade rc airboat back out and
thrash it again. Dave McCauley and I got bored one weekend when
we where back at WKU, got a case of beer, some styrofoam, and some
fiberglass. If you follow this link, you'll see what comes out
when you mix it all together -
da' swampb00ger. Ran mean as hell
till I flipped it trying to run wide open on the grass. The rollbar
lasted about 6 flips, then the prop dug in. Was hitting a good 40mph.
The engine pulling it was a MDS .48 w/ a 10x7 prop. You'll see it
sitting on the nose of the buggy, as the mount completely tore out
on the last flip. If I get it running again, I'll try to post some
action pics.

FYI... I'm still around, just been busy at work w/ the holidays
and stuff. I've received lots of good input on PODTool and plan
on getting back to work on it soon. Look for POD2 and shell
extension support in the next version, among other things. When
I get PODTool wrapped up, I plan on getting a beta of the .trk
editor ready for release. And yes, I really need to update El Cid.
I really appreciate the feedback I receive from ya'll, so keep
it comin'.

Been real busy with work lately, but after playing
4x4 EVO2, I had to write
this. It's a little tool for working with the POD files that are in
the game. Yes, it's a windows binary (don't shoot me), but I do plan
on releasing the source once I get it cleaned up. Probably over on
SourceForge. So...
PODTool 0.5 (beta) has been released. You can grab it via the link
to the left. All feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

Ack.. been a while since i've done anything here. Between work and
other crap, I just haven't been doing any code at home lately. But, I
did throw up elcgi.pl, which is a simple perl cgi script for parsing
elcid.log and throwing it up on the web (create links to do reverse
lookups through anywho.com too, so it's kinda nifty). Check it out
under the El Cid download link on the left and let me know what you
think.

Re-did the site using java script includes so it's easier to maintain.
Let me know if it really sucks, thanks.

Put up a small perl script to generate user friendly text output
from the log file. Grab elcid.pl from download the section under
El Cid if ya want it.
Yes, i just noticed that this page looks screwy under netscape,
but then so does everything. I'll fix it this weekend.
First release of El Cid, my cheesy little Caller ID logger
for linux. It doesn't know Kung Foo yet, but it may in the
future. You can grab the source from the download link on
the left.
